That's a wrap! What an amazing CruiserFest.
Thanks to everyone who came and shared the experience.
With support from Toyota USA – the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum presented a public viewing of the all new Toyota Land Cruiser at the 14th annual CruiserFest. Toyota's longest running nameplate and off-road icon returns to the North American market in a striking way and attendees were able to preview a pre-production Limited First Edition Land Cruiser. Did you miss the event? For official information on the new 2024 Land Cruiser visit Toyota.com. Satisfy your curiosity and validate our commitment to the legend that never dies.
As always, CruiserFest is the museum's way of connecting the outdoor and off-road community while providing educational and networking opportunities. This event welcomes people of all ages and includes an outdoor car show, tours of the museum, as well as workshops and presentations aimed toward increasing visitors' appreciation of the outdoors and sharpening their skills for getting out to explore the world around them. These opportunities are a great way to learn from others and to connect with new people. We'll see you again in September 2024!
Feature Keynote Speaker - Jin Won Kim
We were honored to host Jin Won Kim who is responsible for the exterior design of the all-new Land Cruiser 250.
Jin Won Kim is a Chief Designer at CALTY Design Research Inc, where he oversees advanced concept and design for Lexus and Toyota. CALTY is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation.
Jin received his BS in Transportation Design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA in 2001. Joining CALTY in September 2001, Jin was responsible for the exterior design of several production and concept vehicles, including the 2004 Lexus LF-C, 2005 Scion T2B, 2007 Toyota FT-HS, 2008 Scion XB, 2011 Toyota Fun-Vii, 2014 Toyota Corolla. However, his most notable achievements include the iconic FJ Cruiser and the all-new Land Cruiser 250.
Embracing the concept of "Back to the Root", the team's objective was to create a new Land Cruiser Icon that pays homage to the rich heritage of the Land Cruiser lineage. CALTY's advanced stage, full-size model was well received by Akio Toyoda and decided to be built as a production vehicle. Production development was done at the headquarters studio in Japan.
