1970 FJ40

The Land Cruiser Heritage Museum is offering an opportunity for a Land Cruiser enthusiast to purchase a project vehicle currently in the museum’s collection. Offered for sale is a 1970 US market FJ40 factory soft top, manufactured in March of 1970.

This is an incomplete vehicle that would be a good starting point for building up a factory soft top variant. There is a tub, front clip, cowl, and dash. The windshield frame is present but is not currently attached. The tub includes the correct soft top model door safety strap loops and a hard-to-find one-piece drop-down tail gate. The body ID tag and frame serial numbers match. There are no doors or factory top bows. There are aftermarket top bows present. The odometer shows 62,395 miles. It is not known if that is actual or exceeds mechanical limits.

The front and rear axles are present. There is no engine, transmission, transfer case, or drive shafts.

This project vehicle is offered at $6,000.00 and can be inspected at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum during regular business hours. Contact Dan Busey at 505-615-5470 or email .
