Late-Model 79 Series Truck & Cab

The Land Cruiser Heritage Museum is offering an ambitious Land Cruiser fan the opportunity to obtain a late-model 79 Series truck cab and bed. This is a perfect starting point for a custom-built Land Cruiser in a body style that has never been sold in the US-market. This is by no means a complete kit and there will be significant custom fabrication required and many additional items that are not included with this body in order to build it into a complete running vehicle. Custom vehicles using this type of donor body have been built by Proffitt’s Resurrection Land Cruisers, Slee Offroad, C2 Design Works and a few other individuals.

These components were removed from a new, circa 2010, HZJ79 standard cab pickup by an armored vehicle conversion company. It is white in color and will exhibit scratches, dings and handling marks from the removal process. In other words the components are “new take-offs” but are not pristine.

This project will require additional items that will need to be sourced elsewhere. This will include, but is not limited to, a complete drivetrain, cab interior, dash board, instruments, steering column, seat belts, lights, windshield wiper assembly and so-on.

What you get:
Pickup box with tail gate and cab guard or “headache rack”
Cab shell with glass, doors, window regulators, and door trim panels only
Front fenders
Radiator core support
Gravel shield under the grille
Black radiator grille
Windshield cowl screen
Plastic front bumper cover
Metal front bumper reinforcement

This body is sold “as-is” on a bill-of-sale and is offered at $5,000.00. The buyer is responsible for arranging transportation. It can be inspected at the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum during regular business hours. Contact Dan Busey at 505-615-5470 or email .
