Dan Busey

Resident Land Cruiser Expert

Dan is a Salt Lake City native. He attended Murray High School and the University of Utah. He grew up around 4-wheel drive vehicles and learned to drive in his dad’s 1960 Dodge Power Wagon. His first car was a 1974 three-quarter ton Dodge Power Wagon. While in high school he held jobs at a truck stop, an auto parts store and an independent auto repair shop. Dan started in the new car dealer parts business as a fill-in job in February 1979 at Toyota of Murray. Larry H. Miller bought that dealership three months after Dan started there. Larry saw fit to keep Dan around and over the next 37 years Dan held positions in four Larry H. Miller dealerships in Utah and New Mexico. Dan retired as Parts Manager at Larry H. Miller American Toyota in Albuquerque, New Mexico after holding that position for 26 years.

Dan bought his first Land Cruiser in 1993, a new 1993 80 Series, and he still has it. His wife Sarah also has an 80 Series, and they enjoy exploring the back country together. Dan and Sarah have two adult sons and they divide their time between Utah and their adopted New Mexico.
